3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari

Tour Overview:
Queen Elizabeth and the Kigezi – Kyambura Wildlife reserve form one of Africa’s most varied ecosystems. This park is found within the western arm of the Rift Valley and covers and expanse of 1,978 Square kilometers of swamps, semi-deciduous tropical forests and green meadows savannah.

This is habitat to the renowned tree climbing lions plus the Uganda kobs, elephants, different antelope species, buffaloes, topis, hippos, hyenas, baboons, crocodiles, waterbucks as well as 10 species of primates such as chimpanzees plus monkeys. More than 500 bird species have been documented here such as the black bee-eater, eagles, 11 species of king fisher, raptors and several falcon species among many others. Among the assets of the park is the Kazinga Channel which connects Lake George and Lake Edward on which the thrilling launch tripe, the best way of game viewing

Detailed Tour Itinerary:

DAY 1: Scenic Views en-route to Queen Elizabeth National Park:
Enjoy an early breakfast before driving to the western part of Uganda. make a stopover at the Uganda equator crossing for photographs and stop for lunch along the way. On the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park watch the beautiful legendary Rwenzori Mountain range. Enjoy a game drive along the way on which you will be reward with views of Buffaloes, Lions, Hyenas, Elephants as well as Leopards, plus a profusion of Antelope species. Set out sightseeing with the Crater Lake region and as well visit the Katwe Salt works to see the local salt mining processing.

Travel time: approximately 7 hours.

DAY 2: Game Drive, Launch cruise on Kazinga Channel:
Following an early breakfast set out for a game drive inside the park that will offer you a great chance to see Bush bucks, Defassa, Lions, Topis, Leopards, Uganda Kobs, Giant Forest Hogs, Elephants, Waterbucks, Cape Buffaloes plus several others. After lunch, take a 2 hours launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The trip will go through may be the biggest population of Hippos plus other animals which could be observed drinking at the edge of the water. The launch cruise is a great opportunity for you to take photos of the different wildlife you will encounter close to the water edge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking en route to Kampala
Following an early breakfast, proceed to Kyambura gorge where you will have a nature walk. Chimpanzee trekking is the main activity in this place although recently they are no longer commonly seen within this gorge. However, this is compensated with the availability of the other primates, although the gorge itself is amazing itself. You will later have lunch along the drive back to Kampala. Transfer to the Airport for your departure flight or to your Hotel.

Travel Time: approximately 7 Hours.
