6 days Gorilla safari -Bwindi, Kibale Forest and Queen Elizabeth

Day 1: Arrive in Kibale Forest National Park
Drive to Fortportal along Mubende road from Kampala, having lunch along the way. After your lunch, you will take a walk in Bigodi Swamp to see birds plus other monkeys living in the swamp. dine and night’s rest at Ndali lodge, Primate Lodge Cottages, or Rwenzori View Guest house.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale
Today you will enjoy an early breakfast and transfer to the headquarters where you will be briefed before setting out to trek the chimpanzees. You will search for the chimpanzees and even listen to their pant-hooting calls, then hurry up to the place from where they were they will be calling. You will as well spot the Black & White Colobus monkeys, Red Tailed Monkeys, Olive Baboons as well as the Black faced Red Colobus, in addition to a profusion of different bird species such as the Great Blue Turaco. Dine and the night’s rest at Primate Lodge Cottages, or Ndali lodge, or Rwenzori View Guest house

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy some game viewing on your way into the park with sights of animals such as buffaloes, leopards, elephants, warthogs, hyenas, various antelopes and lions. Once in the park, you will have an afternoon launch cruise down the Kazinga Channel. This will reward you with great views of animals that gather here to drink water as well as various water birds. Dine and overnight rest at Institute of Ecology, or Mweya Safari Lodge, or Kingfisher lodge

Day 4: Game drives and drive to Bwindi
In the morning you will have a game drive as you search for the renowned tree climbing lions that are normally seen resting in old fig trees. You will later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest situated in the Uganda’s southern part. You will have time to rest at your lodge as you get ready to track gorillas the following day. Dine and rest at Buhoma Community bandas, or Gorilla Resort, or Lake Kitandara Lodge

Day 5: Gorilla tracking
In the Early morning you will have breakfast and head to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park ranger guide, before starting the gorilla tracking. The sheer forested terrain is extremely thickly criss-crossed by several animal trails which enable guests to access. Some of the animals you will be able to see in the forest are the mountain gorillas, uncommon golden monkey, buffaloes, elephants, black fronted duikers, bushbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs plus many others. This park is renowned for its amazing mountain gorillas. It is really unpredictable for how long you will have to trek before you finally find the gorillas since it depends on their movements. The pleasure of spending some time with and observing the mountain gorillas is a very uncommon, breathtaking and a thrilling adventure. Dine and overnight rest at Buhoma Community bandas, or Gorilla Resort, or Lake Kitandara Lodge

Day 6: Departure
Following breakfast you will return to Kampala, have lunch along the way and a stop by the Equator where you will take photos, and later arrive in Kampala in the evening.
