Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After your breakfast at the Hotel in Kampala, you will be picked from your hotel by our guide after breakfast who will drive to Murchison falls National Park through Masindi. Along the way you will stopover at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will have a guided nature walk to track the Rhinos. Drive on to masindi town where you will have lunch. You will finally enter the Park using the Kichumbanyobo gate and drive to the Top of the falls to see the spot where this Park got its name. you will be marveled at the top of the falls, as you watch the water thunderously exploding through a small gorge and then flow down to become a peaceful river whose riverbanks are swarmed with a profusion of animal plus bird species. Dine and overnight rest at Red Chili campsite, or Paraa Safari Lodge, or Sambiya River Lodge, or Nile Safari Camp
Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise
Following breakfast, you will have a game drive in the morning in the Northern part of the Park. You will search for some of the big 5 animals including Buffaloes, Lions and Elephants, and if fortunate even see some Leopards. Among the other animals you will see are: Rothschild giraffes, different Antelopes, Warthog, Waterbuck and Bushbucks among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and later on, set out for the 3 hours exciting launch cruise down the Nile. This will actually take you near the bottom of the waterfalls and along the way, you will see a big number of Hippos and Crocodiles, plus several other animals near the river banks drinking water. In case you are fortunate, you may as well see the uncommon shoe bill stork plus some other types of birds within this area. Dine and overnight rest at Red Chili campsite, or Paraa Safari Lodge, or Sambiya River Lodge, or Nile Safari Camp
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to the southern Uganda into Kibale Forest National Park. Along the way you will have lunch in Hoima and continue to fort portal town later in the afternoon. This journey will reward you with breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley and as well as traditional homesteads of Bunyoro and Tooro Kingdoms. Dine and overnight rest at Chimpanzee guest House, or Chimp Nest, orNdali lodge, or CVK, or Kibale Forest Camp, or Primates lodge
Day 4: Chimp trek and Bigodi swamp walk
Following your breakfast, go to the Park headquarters found at Kanyachu where the park rangers will brief you about chimpanzee tracking. After this, in the company of the Ranger Guide you will set out into the forest to look for the Chimpanzee which are the closest friends and relative to man. Not only is Kibale Forest home to the Chimpanzees but likewise to more 12 primate species including the Red Tailed Monkeys, L’hoests monkeys baboons, red colobus as well as Varvet Monkeys. You will observe how the chimpanzees feed and even relate with each other. You will return to the lodge for lunch and later have a Nature walk within Bigodi swamp where you will be rewarded with views of various bird species plus some primates. The Bigodi is considered as one of the bird watchers’ paradise since it has very many types of birds that are mainly seen in the swamp. Return to the Lodge for dinner and night’s rest at Chimpanzee guest House, or Chimp Nest, orNdali lodge, or CVK, or Kibale Forest Camp, or Primates lodge
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park after breakfast. This journey will take you through the beautiful Kasese town offering clear views of Mountain Rwenzori – the ‘mountains of the Moon’. On the way into the Park, you will see various wild animals. Continue with your drive to Mweya where you will have a guided nature walk inside Maramagambo forest to see primates and also visit the bat caves plus the blue lake. Dine and overnight rest at Mweya Safari Lodge, or Simba Safari Camp, or Ihamba Safari Lodge
Day 6: Game drive and Launch Cruise
After a delicious served breakfast, you will have a morning game drive within the Kasenyi area where you will search for various animals like the elusive giant forest hogs, Lions, Spotted Hyenas, Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Kobs andLeopard. Head back to the lodge for your lunch and later in the afternoon, take a Launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This will offer you the chance to see different wildlife like hippos at a very close distance since the boat will sail close to the shores. The shores of this channel are home to a great profusion of birds such as the saddle billed stork, pink backed pelicans, malachite kingfishers plus several others. At the end of the boat cruise you will head back to the lodge for dinner and the nights rest at Mweya Safari Lodge, or Simba Safari Camp, or Ihamba Safari Lodge
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Right after breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park going through the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park renownedfor its population of unique tree climbing lions commonly see in Fig plus acacia trees. In this area you will see various animals such as the tree climbing lions and elephants. Continue with the drive to Bwindi where you will arrive in the evening. Dine and overnight rest at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, or Buhoma Community Bandas, or Nkuringo Gorilla Camp, or Gorilla Resort, or Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 8: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
You will have breakfast before 8:00am, and then transfer to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the gorillas tracking activity. From here, in the company of armed park ranger guides you will enter the forest and begin searching for the Mountain Gorilla giants. You will walk through this forest, as you slash at the undergrowth, separate thick creepers, as you track the gorillas. Unfortunately we cannot tell for how long you will have to track since it all depends on the movement of the mountain gorillas. Nonetheless, it may take anything between 2 and 9 hours. On finding the Gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their midst as you observe them feed, play and take care of their young. You will also be able to take some photos and capture videos. Return for your dinner and the overnight stay at Buhoma Community Bandas, or Gorilla Resort, or Gorilla Mist Camp, or Nkuringo Gorilla Camp, or Wagtail Eco Safari Camp
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Today you will have breakfast, before going for a community walk in Buhoma and later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi through Kabale also known as the Switzerland of Africa. Factually, Lake Bunyonyigot its name from the numerous birds which used to live around the lake. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in the whole of Uganda and then the second deepest in the whole of Africa. On arrival, you will go for a canoe ride to the different Islands on this Lake. Later in the evening return to the mainland for dinner and the overnight rest at Bushara Island Camp, or Arcadia cottages, or Bunyonyi overland camp
Day 10: Full day on Lake Bunyonyi
In the morning after breakfast, you will go for variousactivities. You may decide to visit the Bakiga Cultural Museum and the local markets within Kabaleas well as check out the plantations and dairy farms. You mayalso visit the Batwa community living on one of the Islands to have a cultural experience of these very short amazing People. Head back to the lodge for dinner and the overnight stay at Bushara Island Camp, or Arcadia cottages, or Bunyonyi overland camp
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After a delicious breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park going through Kabale also referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Africa’ due to its amazing topography dominated by hills plus highlands. You will stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and later enter Lake Mburo Park through Nshara gate. Once in the park, you will have a boat ride on the lake to look for various animals such as giant crocodiles and hippos. Dine and overnight rest at Arcadia Cottages, Mihingo Lodge, or Mantana Luxury tented Camp
Day 12: Game drive and transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will go in the park to search for animals such as Zebras, Impalas, Elands and various savannah species. Among the bird species here are the African Fin foot, Bush Shrike among others. Later drive to Kampala having lunch along the way and a stopover at the equator. You will be dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
