Tour overview
This trip begins in Queen Elizabeth National Park home of the renowned tree climbing lions and several antelope species, buffaloes, hyenas, baboons, Topis, waterbucks, crocodiles, elephants, hippos among others. It proceeds to Kibale National Park home to the largest number and variety of primates in the whole of East Africa including Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, and Blue, Red-tailed, chimpanzees and Red-Colobus. Have a nature walk within Bigodi Swamp to enjoy a wonderful opportunity for watching birds such as the sunbirds and the great blue turraco.

Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Launch Cruise
Following an early breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park driving past the beautiful legendary Rwenzori Mountain range on this journey. In the afternoon you will go for the special two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects lakes George and Edward. You will sail through perhaps the highest concentration of giant Hippos plus several other animals observed drinking at the water shores. This launch cruise provides a unique platform for taking photographs, watching birds and viewing game, perfect for a Uganda safari. The productive bird life is colorful and astonishing with well over 550 resident species.

Day 2: Game Drive along the way to Kibale Chimp Forest National Park
You will have a game drive very early in the morning in the park during which you will see Lions, Elephants, Topis, Leopards, Bush bucks, Cape Buffaloes, Defassa Waterbucks, Giant Forest Hogs, Uganda Kobs, among others. On the Drive to Kibale National Park you will be able to enjoy an impressive sight of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon” which you will clearly see on the road to Fort Portal.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking, Bigodi Swamp for bird watching
Right After Breakfast, you will head out into the Forest, to view the primates. The activity begins at 8.00am and takes half the day as you look for chimpanzees plus other primates such as Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, Red-Colobus and the Blue tailed monkeys along with the Red-tailed swinging through this dense forest together with birds, small insects and butterflies. The safari guide will offer you a comprehensive explanation on the primates, as well as the other forest plant and animal life ensuring that this walk is not only enjoyable but informative as well. After lunch, you will explore the unique Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site where you will encounter uncommon plant and animal species. This walk is superb for seeing various bird species such as the Great blue Turacco, little Bulbul, Rwenzori Turaco and the Narina Trogon, among others.

Day 4: Nature Walk, Return to Kampala
Following Breakfast you will go for a morning nature walk within the forest to observe the uncommon unique animal species. You will have Lunch along the drive back to Kampala.
