6 Days Uganda Gorilla Tracking Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Following breakfast, the guide will pick you up from the Hotel in Kampala and drive you to Lake Mburo National Park found in western Uganda. Along the way you will stopover at the Uganda-Equator at where you will have an informative talk and even take some photos from where you will continue with the journey along the Masaka road. On arrival you will check into your accommodation where you will have your lunch. Enjoy an afternoon boat ride trip on the beautiful Lake Mburo to see animals such as giant Hippos and crocodiles plus various birds. Dine and overnight stay at Arcadia Cottages, or Mihingo Lodge, or Mantana Luxury tented Camp.

Day 2: Game drive and drive to Bwindi national Park
Following breakfast, you will set out for a game drive searching for animals such as Zebras, Impalas, Elands plus other savannah wild species. In addition, look out for bird such as the African Fin foot, Papyrus species and Bush Shrike among others. You will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park. The impressive drive will take you through the beautiful Kabale region also is referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa” due to its landscape dominated with hills plus highlands. Arrive in Bwindi park in the evening where you will have dinner and spend the at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, or Buhoma Community Bandas, or Nkuringo Gorilla Camp Gorilla Resort and Gorilla Mist Camp.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Prior to 8:00am, have breakfast and then proceed to the Ranger station where you will be about this activity. Later on you will be accompanied by armed park ranger guides to look for the Mountain Gorilla giants. You will walk through the forest as you slash the undergrowth, separating thick creepers, to find the gorillas. it is unpredictable for how you will have to track the mountain Gorillas since it all depends on their movements as they look for food plus shelter. Nonetheless, it may take 2 to even 9 hours. On finding the Gorillas, you will spend an hour with them during which you will observe them go about their day to day activities and even take photos plus videos. Head back to the lodge where you will have dinner spend the night at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp, or Gorilla Mist Camp, or Buhoma Community Bandas, or Nkuringo Gorilla Camp, or Gorilla Resort

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Right after breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park found in the southern part of the Park called the Ishasha Area. The area is renowned for its unique tree climbing lions found in Fig plus acacia trees. In this are you will also see various other animal species besides the tree climbing lions. You will continue to Mweya where you will have a guided nature walk inside the Maramagambo forest where you will watch primates and also visits to the impressive bat cave plus the blue lake. Dine and overnight rest at Mweya Safari Lodge, or Simba Safari Camp, or Ihamba Safari Lodge

Day 5: Game drive and Launch Cruise
After a delicious breakfast, you will go for a game drive in the morning in the Kasenyi area. In this area you will see various animals including Lions, hyenas, Buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Leopard and Elephants, as well as the elusive forest hog. Head back to the lodge where you will have lunch and later an exciting Launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel on which you will be able to see several animals like hippos, crocodiles and some buffaloes along the water edge drinking water, plus various species of birds. After this you will return to the lodge for your dinner and the overnight rest at Mweya Safari Lodge, or Simba Safari Camp, or Ihamba Safari Lodge

Day 6: Chimp trek and transfer back to Kampala
After an early breakfast, go for Chimp trekking in the Kyambura Gorge. This primate walk will offer you a great experience as you walk through the thick sheer terrain and observe the different wildlife. After on return to the lodge for lunch driving back to Kampala where you will be dropped to the airport for your departure flight.
