Kibale National Park is the capital for primates in the world and home to the widest variety and number of primates compared to other parts of the world. It is a large National Park, sheltering a large expanse of a rainforest which provides a number of chances to trek Chimpanzees and even watch birds making it the finest primate safaris in Uganda. The neighboring local community actually plays a significant role in preservation of this park. Detailed Safari Itinerary:
Day 1: Travel to Kibale Chimpanzee Forest National Park
Following an early breakfast, you will drive westwards for half of the day through Mityana all the way to Fort Portal, going though lavish countryside, see the traditional homesteads plus farms. drive through Fort Portal which is found at the bottom of Mountain Rwenzori also known as the Mountains of the Moon as well as Kibale National Park. enjoy dinner and spend the night at a comfortable lodge.

Day 2: Nature Walk, Chimp Tracking and Bigodi Birding
Following Breakfast, walk into the Forest, to view primates, however before you begin you will go to the park headquarters and be briefed by the park ranger. This activity begins early morning at 8.00 a.m. and spend half the day looking for chimpanzees as well as monkeys like grey cheeked Mangabeys, Red-tailed monkeys, phoestes, Red-Colobuses plus Blue tailed monkeys, all jumping from one branch to another.
