Uganda Airlines and Uganda Tourism Board are in a partnership

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Uganda Airlines and Uganda Tourism board in a joint effort to boost tourism with a brand destination to Uganda.

Cornwell Muleya and Lilly Ajarova both representing Uganda Airlines and Uganda Tourism board respectively, signed this last week in Kampala, at Speke Resort Munyonyo. Both institutions have a common obligation to improve tourism in Uganda and their collaboration is to make Uganda a tourism destination for its wildlife, lakes and rivers, culture, environment, among other attractions.

The CEO of Uganda Tourism Board, Ms. Ajarova stressed that this partnership is in line with the Board’s strategic plans to elevate Uganda to become a competitive tourism destination as well as focusing on promoting travels within Africa especially Kenya that has a promising tourism market, not forgetting South Africa and Nigeria.

She also added that the partnership is focused on promoting Uganda as a competitive must visit for tourism and other investments. Uganda Airlines will be lowing costs in terms of money and time to travel to the Pearl of Africa.

The agreement is for 3 years and during this, the Uganda Airlines still, will promote the Brand Destination Uganda in its various platforms or means of communication.  The Tourism Board as well be promoting Uganda Airlines on all its platforms, as the best airlines to travel to the Pearl of Africa. All marketing materials will have information for the above partnership.

Muleya also emphasized that they would like the whole world to get to know the Pearl of Africa through Uganda Airlines. For the last five months the Airlines opened eight routes in the region and more await to be opened. They are yet to start routes in Dubai, China and London.

We can’t wait for the best that is to come out of this partnership. The good news is the Pearl of Africa is one of the must-visit countries.
