Rapper Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West Monday met Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe.
The American rap singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer arrived in Uganda Saturday to record a video.
Kim Kardashian, an American reality television personality, entrepreneur and socialite.
What Kanye and Museveni discussed was not clear but since Ugandas leader presented books about Ugandas tourism, the discussion could have mainly rotated around the countries numerous tourism sites and extraordinary natural destinations.
Mr Museveni gave the entertainer books related to tourism and other natural resource sites.
Kanye reciprocated by presenting autographed white Adidas Yeezy sneakers to Mr Museveni. Kim Kardashian West also endorsed the shoes.
Adidas Yeezy is the official collaboration sneaker by Kanye West and Adidas.
The two celebrities were accompanied by Kanye’s father, Raymond West.
After the meeting Mr Museveni tweeted: “I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and Kim Kardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and the arts. I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa.”
Kanye and his entourage were booked into the exclusive Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park.
