Semuliki Safari Park is found in the remote region of Western Uganda, lying 220 kms along the Congolese border following the Semliki River.
The altitude is on the average 700 m above sea level. Itshas 336 tree species recorded, of which 24 are restricted to the Park like Isolana Congolana and Ejacis Guineesis, 435 bird species, 63 mammals, like elephants, leopards, buffaloes, 9 primates and atleast 374 species of butterflies.
There are two “hot springs” situated in a tract of hot mineral encrusted swamp land, where visitors see a jet of hot water and a pool of boiling water. Chimpanzee trekking, night and day game drives and boat trips on Lake Albert which enable you to view the rare shoebill.
